Our sports coaching provision for secondary schools encompasses a variety of services tailored to support and elevate physical education:

Tailored Secondary Alternative Provision: We deliver targeted interventions for disengaged secondary school students, fostering their re-engagement with the school community through sports. These sessions emphasise building life skills and encouraging positive engagement.

Comprehensive PE Provision: The Kick Out Club can strategically plan, execute, and assess PE lessons within your secondary school. This is particularly beneficial for schools with non-specialist PE staff or those in technology colleges and similar educational settings.

Break and Lunchtime Assistance: Our coaches are on hand to supervise and lead dynamic sports activities during break and lunchtimes, ensuring secondary school students stay active and engaged during free periods, promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Engaging Sports and Lifestyle Workshops: We offer educational workshops focusing on sport-specific skills or healthy lifestyle topics tailored for secondary school students. These workshops can stand alone or be part of broader drop-down or workshop days, providing valuable learning experiences.

Empowering Teen Leaders Program: Through our Teen Leaders program, we empower older secondary school students to enhance their leadership skills by supporting younger peers in their sporting development. This can involve student-led activities during lunch or break times, instilling a sense of responsibility and teamwork.

Supply and Maternity Cover: Our qualified coaches are available for last-minute or planned staff absences in secondary schools, providing short or long-term assistance. They can lead PE lessons, supervise tutor groups, and fill gaps to ensure the smooth running of the secondary school day.

Tailored Extra-Curricular Clubs: We offer high-quality, sports-based extra-curricular clubs designed specifically for secondary schools. These clubs, funded by students or the school, can focus on specific sports or general fitness, offering secondary school students an alternative and enriching experience. Utilising Pupil Premium funding for these clubs is a valuable investment in the development and well-being of secondary school students.

By partnering with us for your secondary school sports coaching needs, you can enrich your PE provision, foster student engagement, nurture leadership skills, and provide valuable opportunities for physical activity and personal growth among secondary school students.

      Active Lunchtime

Our Dynamic Lunchtime Clubs offer students vibrant and invigorating activities during lunch. Here’s how they operate:

      ‍

Specialised Sports Clubs: These clubs are typically funded by parents and center around specific sports.

Optimal choices include sports that don’t necessitate a change into specific attire, such as Soft Archery and Table Tennis.

Nevertheless, we can also coordinate other sports and ensure supervision during attire changes.

Parents can conveniently reserve and pay for these clubs through the Kick out online booking system.

Schools can choose to access the register electronically or print it for reference.

      ‍

Lively Lunch Clubs: These school-funded drop-in sessions give students the freedom to choose their activities.

Most schools conduct these clubs at least three times a week to maximise student participation.

The clubs feature a blend of easy-to-follow games like “Foxes and Farmers” to keep students active and entertained.

Our coaches only need a modest space, approximately one-third of a netball court, to conduct these sessions.

      ‍

What Our Coaches Bring: Our coaches are committed to fostering maximum student engagement in the clubs.

They maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach while ensuring behavioural control and session safety.

Depending on the agreed-upon arrangements, coaches will either bring their own company equipment or utilise the school’s equipment.

Tailored for Different Age Groups: In Key Stage 1 (KS1), our coaches focus on fun and straightforward games that enhance agility, balance, coordination, and speed.

For Key Stage 2 (KS2), sports matches and games like end-ball, football, dodgeball, and more are popular among students.

Through our Dynamic Lunch Clubs, students get the chance to stay active, have fun, and develop their physical skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

      Program Duration:

The program spans 12 weeks, providing an extensive timeframe for young leaders to refine their skills and make a positive impact.

Weekly Kick Out Club Coaching Session:

Once a week, or as frequently as desired, our seasoned Kick Out Club coaches collaborate closely with a group of older students. In these coaching sessions, young leaders learn the intricacies of planning, organising, and delivering sports clubs to younger peers.

      Remaining Weekdays:

On the remaining weekdays, young leaders have the opportunity to apply their training. They take on the responsibility of leading games and activities for younger students during break times. This hands-on experience allows them to put their newly acquired skills into practice and gain confidence in engaging and inspiring their peers.

      Additional Program Benefits:

      • Feedback and Support: Following each session with the Kick out club coach, young leaders receive valuable feedback and guidance. Coaches provide constructive input to help improve their delivery and enhance leadership skills, ensuring continuous growth throughout the program.
      • Extra Support: If desired, the Kick out club coach can attend school on more days to offer further support and supervision. They can observe young leaders conducting their sessions, providing guidance and assistance as needed, facilitating a smooth transition into independent leadership.

    • Teacher CPD

      Teacher CPD

Our Professional Development Programme for Teachers offers a systematic approach to enhancing educators’ skills, knowledge, and confidence in delivering PE lessons. Here’s a breakdown of how it operates:

      • Collaboration with PE Mentors: Experienced PE Mentors closely collaborate with your teachers within their own classrooms. They provide guidance, support, and practical insights to enhance teachers’ comprehension and implementation of effective PE teaching practices.
      • Tailored CPD Programme: Each participating teacher receives a physical copy of the Kick out club CPD handbook, serving as a guide for their professional development journey. The handbook outlines key areas to focus on during the term and is highly adaptable to meet the individual needs of each teacher.
      • Gradual Learning Process: The programme follows a progressive structure. Initially, teachers observe the mentor in action, gaining valuable insights into effective teaching strategies. As the programme advances, teachers gradually assume more responsibility, leading segments of the PE sessions themselves. Mentor feedback and guidance are consistently provided to ensure continuous improvement.
      • Self-Review and Evaluation: Teachers engage in a self-review process at the beginning and end of the programme. This allows them to reflect on their progress, identify areas of growth, and track their professional development. The self-review also serves as a clear demonstration of the achieved results, both for individual teachers and the school as a whole. This evidence is valuable for Ofsted inspections, showcasing the effective utilisation of the PE & Sport Premium budget and the ongoing development of teachers.

      ‍

By participating in our teacher CPD programme, schools benefit from a collaborative and targeted approach to enhancing PE delivery. Teachers receive personalised support and guidance, leading to improved teaching practices and enhanced outcomes for students. The self-review process ensures accountability and helps schools demonstrate the impact of their investment in professional development.
